454 gm | Almonds, raw ((1 lb)) |
10 cup | Water |
1. Soak almonds in water overnight.
2. Remove Skins: remove the peels of the almonds. The peels slide off super easy after soaking.
3. Rinse and Strain: The water will get a bit colored and you will want to strain it. Once all the peels are removed rinse and strain the soaked almonds.
4. Blend: Pour almonds in blender and add water. (I filled blender 3/4 way with water and almonds and used a whole bag of raw almonds from Trader Joe's).
5. Season: We added a splash of vanilla extract to the blender but... fresh vanilla, chocolate, strawberries, the flavor possibilities are limitless.
6. Strain: pour through a nut milk bag or similar small pour straining bag.
optional: 2 tsp. vanilla
