Apple & Walnut Yogurt Parfait

Ingredients


1 large Apple
1/4 cup Walnuts
1 cup Plain yogurt, 1- 2% M.F.
1 tsp Cinnamon (Ground; or to taste)

Instructions


1. Roughly chop the apples and walnuts.  Mix together in a bowl.  Set aside.

 

2. Starting with either the yogurt or the apple/walnut mixture, layer the yogurt and apple/walnut mixture alternately in the parfait glass, ending with the apple/walnut mixture.

 

3. Sprinkle the top with the cinnamon.

Notes:

Quick Tips

The cinnamon can also be added to the apples and walnuts into the bowl after chopping them

are high in vitamin C and polyphenols, they are also very high in fiber

Walnuts

are a great source of plant Omega 3's, and may help decrease inflammation
