25 gm Mozzarella cheese (sliced)
1/3 cup Green Grape
3 medium leaf Lettuce, butterhead (Boston)
5 animal cracker Animal crackers
1 medium egg Egg (hardboiled & sliced, or use more mozzarella)
1 Tuna & Broccoli patties (recipe link in notes)


Using a small cooking cutter, cut shapes into the cheese.

Cut the egg crosswise into thick slices, or you can use a round cookie cutter to cut slices of mozzarella cheese into large circles. Use either of these as the eyeballs.

Assemble bento box:

  • Line bento box with lettuce. Dab some lemon caper sauce on the lettuce and place tuna patty on top.
  • Be creative, use carrots and olives for the details of the owl. You can use a pretzel stick for the branch the owl sits on.
  • Enjoy grapes and animal crackers on the side

Advanced Preparation

1 - 3 days prior [optional], Egg 1 medium egg

Place the egg in boiling water and boil for 7 minutes. Run egg under cold running water to cool. Peel when cooled and store in airtight container in the fridge.
