454 gm | Bacon, uncured, Nature's Choice (chopped) |
454 gm | Green cabbage (coarsely chopped) |
256 gm | Broccoli florets (coarsely chopped) |
1 tbsp | Ghee (flavorless or ghee) |
2 tsp | Himalayan salt |
1 tsp | Black pepper (ground) |
1 tsp | Caraway seed (optional) |
Chop the bacon into 1” size pieces and cook in a large saucepan for a few minutes, remove the bacon from the pan and set to one side
Melt the ghee in the saucepan, add the broccoli and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes
Add the cabbage, salt, pepper and caraway seeds (if using) to the broccoli mixing together
Cook for a further 10-15 minutes, the cabbage should be cooked through but still have a little bite to it ‘al dente’
Return the bacon to the pan, add seasoning to taste and and continue cooking for a few more minutes
