1 cup mashed Banana
1/2 cup Applesauce, unsweetened
1 large egg Egg
2 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
1 cup Whole wheat pastry flour
2 tsp Baking powder
1 cup pitted Dates (chopped)


1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9X9 inch square baking pan.

2. In a bowl, mix together the mashed banana, applesauce, egg, and vanilla. Stir well. Add in the flour and baking powder and mix until almost combined.

3. Stir in the dates and mix the rest of the way. Don’t over mix the batter.

4. Bake in the preheated oven until the sides start to pull away from the pan and an inserted toothpick comes out clean, about 20 minutes.
