6 cup | Brussels sprouts |
1 medium | Lemon |
1/2 tsp | Black pepper (ground; to taste) |
1/2 tsp | Salt (to taste) |
1. Wash bruseel sprouts.
2. Use a sharp knife to cut off tough stem end from each sprout and slice sprouts in half down the middle.
3. Add sprouts to cast iron skillet (or other pan) and juice lemon on top.
4. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the sprouts and stir to evenly coat.
5. Sauté on medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring frequently. Cover pan with lid to retain moisture and help the sprouts soften up.
6. When you can easily stick a fork in them and they are still firm, but tender, remove from heat.
7. Enjoy!
