1 tsp Ghee
681 gm Beef, ground, lean
199 gm Bacon (chopped)
114 gm Yellow onion (chopped)
284 gm Cauliflower (chopped into small florets)
114 gm White mushrooms (chopped)
2 tsp Italian herb seasoning
1 tsp Hot pepper (chili) flakes ((optional))
1 tsp Salt and pepper
1/2 can(16oz) Crushed tomatoes canned
2 tbsp Basil, fresh (chopped (optional))

Instructions


  1. Over a moderate heat in a large skillet melt the ghee, add the onion, ground beef and bacon and sauté for around 10 minutes, until cooked through
  2. Meanwhile, partially cook the cauliflower florets in boiling water for 7 minutes and then drain
  3. Add the cauliflower to the skillet with the meat and add the mushrooms, italian herbs, chilli flakes, salt and pepper and cook for a few minutes
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and continue for a further 10 minutes stirring frequently
  5. Serve up with freshly chopped basil (if using)
