1 tbsp Avocado oil
1/2 cup White onion (finely chopped)
1 clove(s) Garlic (minced)
454 gm Chicken, ground, lean
1 tsp Oregano, dried
1/2 tsp Marjoram
1 dash Red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt
2 tbsp Parsley, fresh (finely chopped)
6 leaf Lettuce, romaine
1/2 cup shredded Red cabbage
1/3 cup Cashew cream
1 dash Paprika


  1. Place a medium sized frying pan on medium-low heat.
  2. Once the pan is heated, add the avocado oil, onion, and garlic.  Gently fry until lightly browned.
  3. Add ground chicken and mix.  Then add the oregano, marjoram, red pepper flakes, and salt.  Cook thoroughly.
  4. A couple minutes before the filling is cooked, add the parsley and stir to combine.
  5. Break off six romaine leaves.  Add desired amount of filling to each leaf and top with cabbage.
  6. Drizzle cashew cream over each leaf and sprinkle with paprika.


  • The cashew cream may need to be diluted to be thin enough to drizzle.
  • Ground chicken substitution:  Finely chopped chicken breasts.
  • This recipe is very versatile in terms of herbs and spices, so feel free to personalize.
