|1 cup||Almond milk, unsweetened (or nut milk of choice)|

|1 cup thawed||Frozen sweet cherry, sweetened|
|1 tbsp||Cacao powder, raw|
|2 tbsp||Flaxseeds (or chia seeds)|
|1 tbsp||Almond butter (or nut butter of choice)|
|3 cube(s)||Ice cubes (optional)|
1. In a high speed blender, add all ingredients in the order listed. Blend on high speed for one minute.
2. Add water or ice, if needed, to reach your desired thickness.
Cacao vs. Cocoa – What’s the difference?
Raw cacao is superior to cocoa powder because it is made by cold-pressing un-roasted cocoa beans. It is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, fiber, magnesium, zinc, iron and calcium.
Cocoa powder is made from cocoa beans that have been roasted at high temperatures.
If you can’t find cacao, buy unprocessed, non-alkalized cocoa powder.
