Protein and fibre rich healthy chocolate candies that are made from just 2 ingredients – chickpeas and chocolate.
2 can (15oz)
Chickpeas, canned, drained
(2 Cans 15oz)
Cacao Chips, unsweetened, Pascha 100%
Pre-heat oven to 350F / 180C.
Drain and rinse the chickpeas then spread flat on an oven pan lined with greaseproof paper.
Bake for about 50-60 mins, tossing every 15 mins until bone dry.
Take out of the oven and place in a bowl with the chocolate and stir using the chickpea heat to melt.
Spoon onto greaseproof paper using a spoon and chill to set.
They will last for several weeks in an airtight container if the chickpeas are dried thoroughly in the oven. Store them in the fridge and enjoy within a few days just in case there was too much moisture in the chickpeas.
I highly recommend Pascha Cacao chocolate as it has zero added sweeteners. If this is too "hardcore" for you try one of their other chips which will have some sugar or try a chocolate chip of your choice.
