1 tbsp Chai tea leaves (infused in boiling water with dates)
1/4 cup Water (boiling water to soak dates)
1 can (15oz) Chickpeas, canned, drained (drained and rinsed)
1 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
2 1/2 tbsp Coconut oil
1/4 tsp Stevia sweetener, powder
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2 1/2 tbsp Hemp protein powder, vanilla (optional)
4 tbsp Coconut flour


  1. Place the dates and chai teabag in a bowl, then cover with boiling water. Let the dates soak and tea steep for about 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the chickpeas, soaked dates, tea water (discard teabag), vanilla, coconut oil, stevia powder, cinnamon, and hemp vanilla protein powder in a food processor and purée until smooth.
  3. Once the mixture is smooth, add in the coconut flour and purée until it thickens. Once thick, scrape into a rectangular loaf pan and place in the freezer to set.
  4. Leave in the freezer until firm, and then transfer to the refrigerator 20-30 minutes before you would like to eat it.
  5. Slice into squares and enjoy.


Quick Tip:

The bars go soft quickly when left out of the refrigerator/freezer, so keep refrigerated when not eating.
