1 bunch | Kale |
2 tbsp | Lemon juice |
1 tbsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
1 tbsp | Parmesan cheese, grated |
1/4 tsp | Sea Salt |
1 dash | Black pepper (or a pinch) |
1. Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Clean all countertops and equipment used for food preparation.
2. Gently rinse kale under cool running water. Cut the stems out and cut leaves into bite sizes pieces; place in a large bowl.
3. Drizzle with lemon juice and oil. Sprinkle with cheese, salt and pepper. Toss well with your washed hands to coat evenly.
4. Spread kale over parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake in preheated 250°F (121°C) oven for about 25 minutes or until crispy and brown.
You can get creative by trying different spices. I like to use cajun or chili powder and the salt/pepper flavouring in the above recipe.
These are tasty on their own or you can add a handful to soups or salads for extra crunch.
