1 small | White onion (peeled and chopped) |

1/2 can (4oz) | Green chili peppers, canned |
2 cup | Brown rice, long-grain, cooked (organic) |
1/4 cup | Adobo sauce (can use red sofrito sauce) |
1 can (15oz) | Black beans, canned (rinsed and drained) |

1.. In a large ceramic frying pan, heat the oil over medium-low heat. Add the onion, and cook 2-3 minutes, until soft and translucent.
2. Stir in the garlic, cumin, chili powder and green chile peppers, cook for 2 minutes.
3. Add rice. Stir well to combine the rice and onion mixture; cook, stirring, for 2-3 minutes until the rice is warmed through.
4. Add in the sauce and black beans, and stir gently, until the sauce is incorporated and the beans evenly distributed throughout the rice.
5. Season with the salt and pepper.
