This easy guacamole recipe will take you less than 5 minutes to make. It's a simple recipe that uses minimal ingredients, is healthy, and delicious!!
Ingredients
3 avocado(s)
Avocado
(ripe)
1 fruit
Lime
1 1/2 clove(s)
Garlic
((grated on a Microplane; finely minced) (1-2 garlic cloves))
1 pinch
Salt
Instructions
To cut the avocados, run a knife around the avocado (from top to bottom) and twist in half. Pull out and discard the pit. Using a spoon or your thumb, remove the flesh and place into a medium-sized bowl.
Cut the lime in half and squeeze both halves into the bowl with the avocado, being careful not to get any seeds in the bowl. Add the garlic, salt and any/all or none of the optional ingredients (see notes). Using a fork gently mash each avocado half a few times then stir all ingredients together.
Notes:
1. I love adding a sprinkle of ground cumin on top. Other great additions include:
-Diced tomato
-Jalapeño peppers (for extra spice) diced or a sprinkle of cayenne pepper
-Fresh minced cilantro leaves
-Feta cheese
Guacamole will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days or you can freeze a batch.
I love putting this tasty dip on nachos, as a condiment in sandwiches or burgers, on top of quesadillas or in burritos. It's also a great addition to egg or tuna salad for an added kick of flavour and nutrition.
