1 can (15oz) | Chickpeas, canned, drained (organic, rinsed) |
1 cup | Pumpkin purée, canned (organic - not pumpkin pie filling) |
1/4 cup | Water |
2 tbsp | Sage, fresh (about 10 average-sized leaves torn and loosely packed) |
1 1/2 tbsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
1 1/2 tsp | Kosher salt |
1/4 tsp | Sage, fresh (minced for garnish) |
1. Place all ingredients (except sage garnish) in a food processor/high power mixer, and process until smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
2. Put in a serving bowl and garnish with minced sage.
3. Serve immediately (serve with fresh whole grain pita bread or whole grain pita chips), you can cover and refrigerate until serving (up to 2-3 days).
