Flourless Sweet Potato Licorice Brownies

If you are looking to make a delicious treat with no refined sugars, then these Sweet Potato Licorice Brownies will make your day.


4 tbsp Maple syrup, pure
1/2 cup Almond butter
1 cup Sweet potato (cooked, mashed)
1/4 cup Cacao powder, raw
1/4 cup Dark chocolate chips (*optional)
1 tbsp Licorice Root Powder (*optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. On the stove, melt nut butter with maple syrup.
  3. In a large bowl add the mashed sweet potato, melted nut butter and maple syrup, and cocoa powder and *licorice root powder and mix well.
  4. If you like add some *chocolate chips 
  5. Pour mixture into greased pan or mold and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before taking out of the mold or pan.
  7. Store them in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
