Protein Chocolate-Covered Bananas
This is a high source of protein and clean calories for your child

Ingredients


2 medium Banana (s)
114 gm Dark chocolate
1/2 tbsp Coconut oil
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
1/4 tsp Cinnamon (Optional)
1/2 ground Flax seeds (optional)
1/2 tbsp Coconut flakes, unsweetened (optional or crushed granola)

Instructions


  1. Prepare a cookie sheet with baking/parchment paper.
  2. Cut bananas in half and insert popsicle sticks.
  3. Melt chocolate, add vanilla, coconut/olive oil and stir well.
  4. Place chopped Cinnamon, ground flax seeds, coconut in a shallow bowl.
  5. Dip bananas in the melted chocolate and then roll in the crushed nuts and seeds.
  6. Place bananas on the lined cookie sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  7. Once frozen, wrap individually until ready to eat.

  • Use your favourite nuts and seeds (try chopped walnuts, pistachios, almonds, or chia seeds)
