Low-Fat Fruit Salad

Adding fiber to your fruit is a great way to increase your metabolism.

Ingredients


1/4 cup Blueberries
1/4 cup Strawberries
1/4 cup Raspberries
1 medium Apple (diced)
2 tbsp Flaxseeds (ground fresh)
1/2 whole lemon(s) Lemon juice (cut in half)

Instructions


  1. Pre-wash all fruits and prepare as directed then strain in a colander 
  2. Mix in a bowl 
  3. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
  4. Grind flaxseeds in a coffee grinder, a dry blender, or a pestle and mortar. (You may use pre-ground flax powder but it is not ideal due to potential oxidation and rancidity) 
  5. Sprinkle flax over fruit. Enjoy!

Notes:

No apples?

Pears go really well with this fruit salad
