Homemade croustinis from french baguettes are super easy to make! For a fancy flair, you can also use croustade cups if you can find them in your grocery store.
Ingredients
3/4 cup crumbled
Blue cheese (gorgonzola)
2 tbsp
Whipping cream
(or milk)
3 medium
Fig, raw
(quartered)
1 tbsp
Port wine
2 tsp
Maple syrup
12 small slice
Baguette, whole grain
(toasted)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Toast slices of baguette on a baking sheet for 10 minutes or until crispy.
Using spoon or piping bag with large star tip, spread about 1 tsp (5 mL) of the cheese mixture on top of the baguette.
Top with fig wedge. You can drizzle each toast with any fig juices left in the bowl.

In small bowl, mash Gorgonzola with cream until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before using.

Quarter figs and place in shallow dish. Add port and maple syrup; stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before using.
