454 gm Lamb, ground (or ground beef)
1/2 medium Red onion (finely diced)
4 clove(s) Garlic (minced)
1/2 whole lemon(s) Lemon peel (zest)
1 tbsp Oregano, fresh (chopped)
1/2 tsp Cumin
1 avocado(s) Avocado
1 cucumber(s) Cucumber (cut in half and seeds scraped out with a spoon)
15 gm Red onion (1 tablespoon, diced, for tzatziki sauce)
1 whole lemon(s) Lemon juice
1 tbsp Dill, fresh (chopped)
1/4 cup Sour cream, light (or Greek yogurt, optional)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Cilantro (coriander) (chopped)


For the meatballs:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine lamb, 1/2 red onion, 2 garlic cloves, lemon zest, oregano, coriander, cumin, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper together and form into approximately 1-1/2 to 2 inch balls.

Place on a raised edge baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.

Serve with avocado tzatziki sauce and enjoy!

For the Avocado Tzatziki Sauce: Combine avocado, cucumber, remaining garlic and red onion, lemon juice, dill, sour cream, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
