Halibut Tacos with Asian Sesame Slaw

454 gm Wild Atlantic halibut
1/2 cup shredded Red cabbage
2 avocado(s) Avocado
3 fruit Lime
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Fish sauce
1 tbsp Sesame seeds
12 small tortilla(s) Tortilla, corn
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tsp Coriander seed (cilantro) (ground)
1/4 cup Sesame oil (or another vegetable oil of your choice)

Instructions


  1. Heat a grill pan over medium-high.
  2. Combine the smoked paprika, ground coriander seed, salt & pepper to make a rub. Coat fish generously with the rub, covering all surfaces. Spray oil over the fish and give it a good massage. Sprinkle with juice from half the lime.  Lay the fish in the grill pan, you should hear the intoxicating sizzle, resist the urge to move the fish during searing. 
  3. After being on the grill pan for about 6 minutes, the halibut is getting a nice char. Now is the time to flip the fish and continue cooking for another 6 minutes.
  4. Prep the slaw:  Combine cabbage, avocado chunks.  Add juice from half the lime, honey, fish sauce, sesame seeds, and toss to combine.
  5. Heat tortillas either on the grill or steam them in a microwave.  
  6. Shred fish with a fork, and divide up onto each taco. Top with slaw, garnish with smoked paprika, or even some radishes or matchstick carrots.
