Health Highlights

1 cup Butter, unsalted (softened)
1 cup Granulated sugar
1 cup Brown sugar (packed)
2 large Egg
1 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
2 cup All-purpose white flour
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Cinnamon (ground)
1/2 tsp Salt
3 cup Quick oats (old-fashioned)
1 1/2 cup Chocolate chips, milk chocolate

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer for this step.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may appear slightly underdone, but they will firm up as they cool.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10.  Enjoy your homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage!

Note: You can customize this recipe by adding chopped nuts, raisins, or other mix-ins of your choice.
