Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

This buttermilk ranch dressing is cool, creamy, garlicky, and delicious over a salad, on tortilla wraps, or as a dip for raw veggies.

Ingredients


1/2 cup Sour cream, light
1/2 cup Buttermilk, low fat
1/4 cup Mayonnaise
2 clove(s) Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Dill, dried
1/4 cup Chives (fresh, finely chopped)
2 tsp Lemon juice (fresh)

Instructions


1. Combine the sour cream, buttermilk, mayonnaise, minced garlic, salt, pepper, dried dill, finely chopped chives, and lemon juice in a medium bowl and whisk well. 

2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Chill until ready to serve. The dressing will thicken to more of a dip consistency as it chills. 

Notes:

Pro Tips: 1 serving = 2 Tbsp. For a thicker dressing/dip, opt for full fat (14% MF) sour cream and buttermilk (2% MF).




Storage Instructions:

The dressing will keep well in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. The garlic flavor gets stronger the longer it sits, so if you plan on preparing the dressing/dip in advance, you may want to reduce the amount of garlic in the recipe.
