Italian grilled cheese on sourdough spelt bread. some salamis don't have garlic this recipe is low FODMAP too
Ingredients
2 small slice

Sourdough bread
(of sourdough spelt; (normal spelt; is ok too if you tolerate this))

Tomato paste, organic
((about 30 g))

Cheddar cheese

1 tbsp

Butter, salted

1 leaf
|
Thai basil, fresh
(Fresh; (dried is also ok))

Instructions
- Spread one side of one slice of bread with tomato paste
- Sprinkle some pepper, salt and fresh basil on top.
- Put the cheese and a few slices of salami on top of the tomato paste.
- Cover with the other slice of bread and spread both outsides of the slices of bread with margarine.
- Heat a pan on the stove. Because you have already spread margarine on outside of the sandwich you don’t need to add butter or oil to the pan.
- Bake the grilled cheese sandwich for about 5 minutes on each side until the bread has become nicely brown and crunchy and the cheese has melted.
