Ingredients


7 tbsp Coconut flour
1 tbsp Xantham Gum
7 1/2 tbsp Water (hot)
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
1 dash Salt (for taste on top)
1 gm Paprika (dash for taste on top)

Instructions


  • In a medium mixing bowl, add coconut flour, xanthan gum. and parmesan. Mix well using a rubber spatula.

  • Add the hot water over the coconut flour mixture and knead the dough until a smooth dough is formed. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

  • Place the dough on a baking sheet paper and roll it out into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle.

  • Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into french fries shapes.

  • Place a frying pan over medium heat and add enough frying oil to cover the fries.

  • Fry the dough strips until they are golden brown on each side. sprinkle salt and paprika for taste.

  • Oven method: To make keto fries in the oven, place the cut fries on a baking tray lined with baking sheet paper greased with oil. Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C/400°F for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Notes:

you can skip the part if vegan, you can also sub coconut flour for almond flour
