7 1/2 tbsp | Water (hot) |
1/3 cup | Parmesan cheese, shredded |
1 dash | Salt (for taste on top) |
1 gm | Paprika (dash for taste on top) |
In a medium mixing bowl, add coconut flour, xanthan gum. and parmesan. Mix well using a rubber spatula.
Add the hot water over the coconut flour mixture and knead the dough until a smooth dough is formed. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Place the dough on a baking sheet paper and roll it out into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle.
Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into french fries shapes.
Place a frying pan over medium heat and add enough frying oil to cover the fries.
Fry the dough strips until they are golden brown on each side. sprinkle salt and paprika for taste.
Oven method: To make keto fries in the oven, place the cut fries on a baking tray lined with baking sheet paper greased with oil. Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C/400°F for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
