Heat oil in large pot over med-high heat. Add sausage and cook until browned- about 8-10 mins.
Add onions, celery and onion and cook- about 5 mins until vegetables are softened. Add garlic and cook- about 1 min. Add broth, kale and sweet potatoes.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender- about 30-35 mins.
