3 cup Oats, large flakes, dry
1/2 cup Coconut oil (melted)
1/2 cup Maple syrup
1/4 tsp Himalayan sea salt
1 tsp Vanilla extract, pure (optional)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions


Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, mix together oats, salt, and cinnamon.

3. Stir in melted coconut oil and maple syrup until all the oats are coated.

4. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepare baking sheet.

5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even toasting. For chunkier granola, press the mixture down slightly before baking and at the halfway point avoid stirring too much.

6. Cool completely on the baking sheet. The granola will continue to crisp up as it cools.

7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Serve on top of your favourite yogurt and top with fruit or pour in a bowl with milk and bananas and enjoy a delicious bowl of cereal.

Notes:

Optional Add-Ins:

- 1/2 cup of your favourite nuts or seeds (almonds, pecans, pumpkin seeds)

- 1/2 cup shredded coconut

Add these to the oats before the coconut oil and maple syrup.

Spices to consider: nutmeg, ginger, pumpkin or apple pie spice.

Optional Add-ins (add after baking):

  • Dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, chopped dates, etc.)

  • Dark chocolate chips

  • Chia seeds or flax seeds
