Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F
- Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pecans in a bowl. This will serve as a filling for the baked apples.
- Core each apple using a knife or apple corer. Ensure roughly ½ inch of the apple remains at the bottom to serve as a sturdy base.
- Fill each apple with filling and top with a small square of butter.
- Bake apples for 35 – 40 minutes in a baking dish filled with hot water. Apples should be tender but not overcooked.
