Oyster Caesar Shooters

Delicious and fun way to enjoy oysters. Oysters are high in vitamin B-12, zinc, iron, and their only 10 calories per piece!

Ingredients


2 cup Vegetable and tomato juice, low sodium
1 tbsp Horseradish root (preferably freshly grated; or ginger root)
1 tsp Hot sauce
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Celery salt (optional; for rimming shot glasses)
1 dash Black pepper (to taste)
6 medium Oyster (shucked; see "Notes" below)
3 small stalk(s) Celery (inner stalks with leaves, cut in half)

Instructions


  1. In a large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, horseradish, hot sauce, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Season with the celery salt and pepper.
  2. Shuck oysters (see "Notes" below for easy information on how to prepare oysters).
  3. Rim the shot glasses with celery salt (optional) and carefully pour the tomato juice into 6 tall shot glasses, leaving room to add 1 oyster to each glass.
  4. Add oyster to each shot glass when ready to serve and garnish each glass with a celery stick.
