2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
1 large Yellow onion (diced)
454 gm Turkey bacon, raw (cut into 1/2-inch slices)
2 cup sliced Carrots
2 cup diced Celery
454 gm Beef, ground, extra lean
1/2 tsp Sea salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Paprika
1 cup Chicken broth (stock)
2 large head Cauliflower (trimmed, chopped, steamed until very soft)
2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil (for cauliflower)


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a very large frying pan.
  3. Sauté onion for 15 minutes until soft. Add bacon pieces to pan and sauté until cooked, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add carrots and celery to pan and sauté in bacon fat for 10 minutes until soft.
  5. Add ground beef to pan and sauté until brown, just a few minutes. Season with salt, pepper and smoked paprika
  6. Add chicken broth and cook down broth until 60% evaporated.
  7. Place steamed cauliflower in food processor and puree with olive oil until smooth.
  8. Pour ground beef mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour mashed cauliflower over beef mixture.
  9. Bake at for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
