|1/2 cup||Basil, fresh (thinly sliced)|
|1/4 tsp||Black pepper|
|2 tbsp||Extra virgin olive oil|
|1/2 tsp||Garlic powder|
|1 cup||Parmesan cheese, shredded|
|1/4 tsp||Salt and pepper|
|1 squash||Spaghetti squash (halved, seeds removed)|
1. Place the prepared spaghetti squash flesh side down in a 13x9 glass baking dish.
2. Fill the dish with about 1" of water. Place baking dish in the microwave and cook for 10-15 minutes, until squash is tender.
3. Remove the spaghetti squash from the pan. Using a fork, gently scrape the inside of the squash to create spaghetti-like pieces of squash.
4. Place spaghetti squash in a bowl with parmesan cheese, fresh basil, olive oil, garlic powder, ground pepper, and salt to taste. Toss to combine and serve!
Use this as a base for a meat sauce, vegetable sauce, as a side dish or as a snack.
