Pasta with Quick Vegetarian Sauce

1 cup Pasta, Fusilli, dry (or gluten-free pasta)
2 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
1 clove(s) Garlic (chopped)
1 medium Yellow onion (chopped)
6 leaf Basil, fresh
1 cup Kale (frozen, chopped; optional)
1 cup Marinara pasta sauce


  1. Cook pasta in boiling water until “al dente” or 1-2 minutes less than the package directions. Drain it.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet on medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add the basil, kale, and pasta sauce.
  4. Once warmed, add the sauce mixture to the cooked pasta and mix. Enjoy!
