Slice plums into half pieces, removing the pit.
Slice mozzarella into half pieces.
Tear basil into bite sized pieces.
Layer plum slices, mozzarella, and basil on a plate.
Drizzle generously with olive oil and a few drops of balsamic vinegar.
Note: If you prefer, you can make your own balsamic glaze by combining balsamic vinegar and honey in a saucepan. Bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, until the vinegar thickens into a syrup.
