2 tsp minced Ginger root (finely chopped)
2 tsp Sesame oil
1/3 cup Soy sauce, low sodium
1/2 medium White onion (sliced or julienned)
1 dash Salt
454 gm Beef, ground (or turkey)
1 tsp Sesame seeds (optional)
2 green onion (stem) Green onion (optional)
1 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)


  1. Whisk the garlic, ginger, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat the remaining teaspoon of sesame oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
  3. Once heated, add the onion and sprinkle with salt. Cook 4-5 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the ground meat to the pan. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to break up the meat into small chunks.
  5. Add soy sauce mixture to the pan. Stir to incorporate.
  6. Turn the heat up to medium-high. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the meat is cooked through.
