3/4 cup slices | Frozen banana (I buy them over-ripe and freeze them) |
1/2 cup | Frozen strawberry (chopped) |
1/2 cup | Almond milk, unsweetened |
6 tbsp | Coconut milk, sweetened (I freeze coconut milk in ice cub trays - each cube=1 tbs) |
1 tbsp | Cocoa powder, unsweetened |
1/2 tsp | Maple syrup, pure |
1 tbsp | Almond milk, unsweetened (added gradually when blending) |
2 scoop(s) | Protein powder, Sun Warrior, chocolate |
1. Mix all ingredients in blender except single tbsp of almond milk.
2. Blend on high until thoroughly mixed - adding in extra almond milk as needed.
3. Serve in a bowl and garnish with fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, mint leaves or drizzle on maple syrup.
4. Enjoy!
Sun Warrior protein contains 17grams of lean plant protein in each scoop, so that is not properly calculated in this recipe, however it still gets a green leaf rating.
I used a ninja pro blender, other blenders may take longer to blend until smooth.
