1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2 tbsp Butter, unsalted
1/4 tsp Salt
4 medium Green Apple
114 gm Dark chocolate
4 tsp Coconut oil (melted)

Instructions


  1. Place the dates in a saucepan and cover with water. 
  2. Boil until mushy (35 minutes) and drain the water.
  3. Once the dates have boiled, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  4. To make the caramel sauce, add the dates to a mixing bowl with cinnamon, butter, and salt and blend with a hand mixer until smooth. 
  5. Cut the apples into a flower bloom shape.
  6. Place a square of dark chocolate in the center.
  7. Put a generous scoop of the caramel sauce on top.
  8. Bake until soft (about 45 minutes). Halfway through, when the apple is beginning to spread, remove the baking sheet from the oven and spread the date mixture over each apple a bit more, along with the coconut oil, getting it in the crevices.
  9. Serve immediately with ice cream, cream, vanilla maple coconut cream, or natural yogurt on top.
