Ingredients


2 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp packed Brown sugar
1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, reduced fat (18%)
2/3 cup Greek yogurt, plain, fat-free
2 tbsp Margarine, non-hydrogenated
1/4 tsp Nutmeg, ground
1/2 cup Oat bran, dry
1 medium Pear (ripe, cored and diced)
1 1/2 cup All-purpose white flour

Instructions


In a large bowl, combine flour, oat bran, baking powder, sugar and nutmeg. Using your fingers or a pastry blender, rub margarine into flour mixture until it looks crumbly. Using a fork, stir in yogurt to make a ragged dough. Add pear and cheese and knead gently to make a soft dough.

Place dough on a floured surface and pat into a 8 inch (20 cm) circle about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick and cut into 8 wedges. Separate wedges and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Bake in preheated 400°F (200°C) oven for about 15 minutes or until golden.
