Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

1 medium White onion (chopped)
1 medium pepper(s) Red bell pepper (chopped)
3 clove(s) Garlic (minced - can use from a jar)
2 can(28oz) Crushed tomatoes canned
1 small can Tomato paste, canned (6 ounces)
1 leaf Bay leaf
1 tsp Oregano, dried
1 tsp, leaves Basil, dried
908 gm Beef, ground, lean (1 package of ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey or pork))


Cook the ground meat in a large skillet set over medium heat, until crumbled and slightly browned. Add the garlic, onion and bell pepper if using and cook, stirring often, 3 to 4 minutes until the onion softens slightly.

Scrape the meat mixture into the slow cooker. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste and seasonings. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.

Serve over a protein pasta, like Barillia PLUS, or a bean or lentil noodle, spaghetti squash or “zoodles”.
