Slow Cooker Spicy Braised Beef

1/4 cup Beef broth (stock), low-sodium
908 gm Beef, inside round steak, lean (fat trimmed)
1/4 tsp Coriander, ground
1/2 tsp Cumin
1 cup Diced tomatoes, canned (with juice)
2 clove(s) Garlic (sliced)
2 medium pepper(s) Jalapeno pepper
2 tbsp Lime juice (fresh)
1/4 tsp Oregano, dried
1 medium pepper(s) Red bell pepper (diced)
1/2 tsp Salt and pepper
1 onion(s) Sweet onion (diced)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce


Add the beef to the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper.

Spread the onion, red pepper, garlic, and spicy peppers (which ever ones you choose) on and around the beef.

Mix together the beef broth, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, cumin, oregano, and coriander. Pour over beef.

Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred or slice. If you have time, leave the beef in the slow cooker on warm for 30 minutes after shredding for more flavour.
