1 cup Brown sugar
3/4 cup Vinegar, white (rice vinegar works too)
1/2 cup Tomato ketchup
3 tbsp Cornstarch
3 tbsp Soy sauce, low sodium (low sodium)
1 tsp Garlic (from jar of pre=minced)
1 tsp Ginger (from jar of pre=minced)
25 meatball(s) Meatballs, frozen (beef or chicken)
398 ml Pineapple, canned in juice (chunks with juice; about 2 cups with pineapple and juice)
1 large pepper(s) Red bell pepper (cut into 1/2 inch chunks)
1 large pepper(s) Green bell pepper (cut into 1/2 inch chunks)

Instructions


  1. Whisk together sugar, vinegar, ketchup, corn starch, soy sauce, garlic and ginger in a medium bowl.
  2. Place meatballs, peppers and pineapple with juice in a 4 quart slow cooker (anywhere from 3-6 is fine). Top with sauce mixture and stir.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or high for 2-3 hours, until meatballs are heated through and sauce is thickened and bubbly. Serve immediately over rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.
