29 gm Cream cheese, fat free
1 medium Egg
1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
171 gm Feta cheese, low fat
1 package (10oz) Frozen spinach (thawed, wringed out of all water)
4 clove(s) Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Nutmeg, ground
30 shell(s) Phyllo pastry shells, mini
1 dash Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 onion(s) Sweet onion (diced)


  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a small skillet, heat olive oil. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant. Add minced onions and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add thawed spinach (wring out all excess water) to the skillet and stir well to break up any large pieces of spinach.
  4. Add feta, cream cheese, egg, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Stir well until the mixture is well combined.
  5. On a baking sheet, add mini phyllo cups. Add a heaping tablespoon of mixture to each tart.
  6. Place in oven and bake for 10 -12 minutes, until mixture is heated through.
  7. Serve immediately.
