Spicy Veggie Big Mac
Classic Big Mac style burger with a spicy, veggie twist!

Ingredients


1 patty Meatless burger (or two if doing a true Big Mac style -Your favourite - there are a couple recipes on the Recipe Vault or store bought)
1 tsp Taco seasoning mix, McCormick (to taste; optional - or your favourite seasoning)
1 slice Velveeta Cheese Slice (Thin) (or kraft singles, or vegan cheese slice)
1/2 cup shredded or chopped Iceberg lettuce (or romaine)
1 tbsp Jalapeno peppers, sliced, canned (optional - to taste or banana peppers)
2 tbsp diced White onion
2 tbsp Sour pickles (Sliced)
1 bun Hamburger bun, plain (Sesame seed, + bottom half of another bun)
3 tbsp Mayonnaise, vegan (Sauce)
1 tbsp Tomato ketchup (Sauce)
1 tsp Yellow mustard (Sauce)
1 tsp Pickle relish, sweet (Sauce)
1 tsp Chipotle chiles in adobo sauce (Sauce, optional - diced, or hot sauce)

Instructions


  1. Combine ingredients for Spicy Big Mac Sauce and set aside.
  2. Chop lettuce and onions, set aside with sauce and desired amount of jalapeños or hot peppers. 
  3. Grill buns in a bit of butter (or margarine) until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. Over medium high heat, grill your burger patty for 3-4 minutes or cook according to package. Sprinkle on taco or desired seasoning.
  5. After you flip the patty(ies), sprinkle the other side with seasoning and add a slice of cheese, then add a few splashes of water to the pan, and cover to melt.
  6. Once the cheese is melted, assemble as follows: bottom bun, sauce, lettuce, patty with cheese, more sauce, lettuce, jalapenos, onions, sliced pickles, top bun. You can certainly do the actual big mac style with a second bottom bun and second patty if you like! I find it too hard to eat and a bit excessive LOL but go for it if you crave that!
