This adapted version of the traditional bulgogi beef will hit the spot with its sweet and tangy flavors!
Ingredients
1/4 cup
Brown sugar
(firmly packed light)
1/4 cup
Soy sauce, low sodium
2 tsp
Sesame oil
1/4 tsp
Ginger root
(minced)
1/4 tsp
Red pepper flakes
1 tbsp
Extra virgin olive oil, garlic-infused
454 gm
Beef, ground, extra lean
1/4 cup
Green onion
(chopped; green parts only)
1/4 tsp
Sesame seeds
1 cup
Brown rice, long-grain, dry
Instructions
Cook rice according to package directions.
Prepare sauce by whisking together the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and hot pepper flakes in a small bowl.
Heat your wok or a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil and heat until shimmering. Add ground beef and break it apart in the pan. Cook until the beef is about halfway cooked. Add the sauce and continue to stir-fry until the beef is cooked all the way through. Add scallions and sesame seeds.
