2 tbsp Butter, grass fed, unsalted
1 medium White onion
4 clove(s) Garlic
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 can (28oz) Tomatoes, canned, stewed (crushed)
1 cup Water (or bone broth)
2 tsp Honey
2 medium Tomato (diced)
1 cup Cream, half and half, 10% M.F.


Heat butter in a large pot. Add onion and sauté over medium heat until soft, 5 minutes. Add garlic and sauté a couple more minutes. Add canned tomatoes, water and honey and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Make sure to place the lid on. Add diced tomatoes and sauté another 10 minutes or so. Season with salt and pepper. Add cream. Puree or leave chunky. Top with chives or other fresh herbs.
