1. Melt coconut over medium-high heat in a medium saucepan, alternatively you can use an air popper instead of stove top method.
2. Add kernels and cover, cook shaking the pot every so often-until you begin to hear the kernels pop. Don’t let the pot sit on the hot element for more than 5-10 seconds at a time once the kernels begin to pop
3. Remove from the heat when you hear no more pops. Pour the popcorn into a large bowl and sprinkle with turmeric, sea salt, and black pepper, toss well.
Note: a serving is 1 cup of popcorn
