Vegetable Broth Powder

Ingredients


4 tbsp Celery salt
4 tbsp Parsley flakes, dried
4 tbsp Onion powder
2 tbsp Garlic powder
1 tbsp Salt
2 tbsp Savory, ground (use summer - not the winter variety. If necessary, you can substitute thyme, marjoram, sage)
2 tsp Marjoram, dried
2 tsp Thyme, dried
1 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Sage, ground

Instructions


  1. Combine all in a small bowl. Store in glass or plastic container with a tight fitting lid. Stir or shake occasionally before use to redistribute ingredients.
  2. Use 1 teaspoon mix plus one cup of water to make 1 cup of broth in a recipe. You may substitute this for chicken broth/bouillon in recipes as well. 1 teaspoon is the equivalent of 1 bouillon cube.

Notes:

- Make this recipe in 2-3 batches at a time to save time.

- Could keep a teaspoon in the container if using it often.

- Savoury substitutes: thyme or thyme plus a little rosemary.
