1 head Red leaf lettuce (chopped or broken into pieces)
1 cup Dulse (laver, nori), dried (chopped)
2 medium Apple (cut into chunks - 2 cups))
3 cup grated Carrots
1 cup diced Celery
1/2 cup Pecans (chopped - can use walnuts)
1/4 cup Golden raisin, seedless (optional)
1/2 cup Mayonnaise, vegan (Asian-style dressing)
2 tbsp Rice vinegar (Asian-style dressing)
2/3 cup Extra virgin olive oil (Western-style dressing)
1 whole lemon(s) Lemon juice (Western-style dressing)
4 tbsp Soy sauce (Western-style dressing)


Combine all the salad ingredients.

Whisk together the dressing ingredients, and mix gently into the salad.

Allow the salad to marinate for 20 minutes before serving to allow the dulse to absorb moisture and soften.


To be served immediately, lightly rinse the dulse after cutting it.
