Ingredients


1 medium Apple (cubed)
1/4 cup Ghee
1/2 tsp Marjoram (for seasoning)
1/2 tsp Oregano, dried (for seasoning)
1 pinch Salt and pepper
1 tsp Sesame seeds (for seasoning)
1/2 tsp, ground Thyme, dried (for seasoning)
1 small bird Whole Chicken
1/2 tsp sumac, ground (for seasoning)

Instructions


Preheat oven to 390°F.

Wash chicken and pat it dry with a towel. Place in an oven-proof pan. Add a quarter of a cup of ghee to a non-stick pan. When ghee is melted, add herbs, salt and pepper. Let seasonings simmer for a couple minutes.

Remove from heat and add apple chunks. Pour apple and ghee mixture on top of the chicken and rub in. Bake for 25 minutes. Chicken is done when juices run clear.
