Eat The Rainbow (My favourite tag line)

When someone asks me how should they begin their journey to health and wellness, I say Eat The Rainbow!

Why do I promote Eat The Rainbow?

If you Eat The Rainbow, you will ensure you are getting a wide variety of amino acids, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.  

What does this mean?

This means that you are giving your body all the essential nutrients it will need to function optimally, and that means good health!

We are all susceptible to falling into routine, and we often do this with our meal planning.  This tends to limit us in our rainbow which can therefore  lead to vitamin deficiencies and/or other symptomatic issues.  

So this is the perfect segue to my next favourite tag line: Try Something New.

I mean it!  The next time you go to the grocery store or farmers market, I want you to purchase something you have never tried before.  When you get home you can google some recipe ideas and give it a shot.  You really have nothing to lose expect maybe a small investment in purchasing the product.  But you have everything to gain... you may find your next most favourite food!  

I know I did!  I found Mamey fruit!!!!  It is a very strange looking fruit which is quite common in Mexico.  I probably wouldn't have tried it if it weren't for the guy at the local produce stand encouraging me to taste it.  So happy I did!  I think this is nature's sweetest fruit, and if you know me... I have a sweet tooth that I try to curb with natural foods. It is wonderful on it's own or I made it into a n'ice cream with frozen bananas, basil and cinnamon.  Yummy!
