Peak Fertility Starts with What You Eat

Protein Intake

Boost your natural fertility by eating more plants and plant-based protein. 🥗🥦🥒🥕🥜🌰🍠🍆
🌻 Studies suggest that replacing animal sources of protein (in particular chicken and red meats) with vegetable sources of protein may reduce the risk of infertility due to anovulation.
🌻 The key to eating more plant-based is a little bit of planning and organizing. I failed to make falafels two weeks in a row 🙈 before I finally realized I needed to plan a little bit ahead.👩🏼‍🍳
🌻 This delicious falafel recipe @evergreenkitchen_ requires to soak dried chickpeas for 18 hours (for best texture) and it was so worth the wait! 😋 I also pickled purple cabbage, made tzatziki using high fat Greek yogurt and baked whole wheat pitas.
🌻 Once you have plant-based foods available, it is much easier to cook with them on a regular basis!
How to get started:
✔ Stock your pantry with dried lentils, chickpeas, peas, beans, nuts and seeds.
✔ Store dried foods in see-through containers so you know what is in them. If you see them, you'll remember to use them (and pre-soak if needed 😅)
✔ Aim for 3-4 plant-based recipes per week, make extra servings and use them for weekday lunches.
